I went at 38 weeks pregnant and ended up with bilateral toenail infections. I was so pissed! It took months for them to heal. I remember that until I got my epidural I could feel my toes pulsing almost as much as I could feel the contractions. </p> <p>I hated that dirty salon and will never go back... You don't know how often they clean those tools, even if it's a really nice/expensive salon. I've been lucky, no infections - but looking back I should have demanded a refund which of course I was never offered.</p> <p>In general I hate having polish on my fingers and I hate people touching my feet so I avoid the salon. I slapped a band-aid on it and went and got a pedi! I just told them not to touch that toe and to leave the band-aid alone.
