DS has been night trained since before he turned 3. Every time he regresses some and has accidents it seems to be at the same time as a growth spurt. I'd just wait it out a little longer. One thing we do is wake him up to pee before we go to bed and limit drinks after supper. I can usually tell it's related to a growth spurt because he also starts eating a ton and not complaining as much about what is on his plate.

My son is about to turn 7 and we've gone through a few periods like this in our night training journey. Sometimes he'll even get up and walk into the bathroom and then pee in his pants. For us it seems to correspond to a growth spurt. They really seem to disrupt his sleep patterns for us. It has always passed within a few weeks, but a total pain in the meantime!

If you think he'll wear the pull-ups until he starts waking up dry again, I'd probably do it. But my kiddo would have been really upset about that.

DS is 4.5 and starting in February he was waking up dry more often than not and started going to the bathroom on his own in the night without issue. So we’ve gone without pull ups and all has been well until the last 4-6 weeks, then he started waking up soaking wet again.. It started with once every other week or so, then once a week, now it’s been 3 days in a row.

I’m wondering if I should go back to pull ups for both our sakes or just muddle through. We have the bed made up so it’s easy to change but I now I have to give him a shower in the morning before school which is tight for time and he is a beast in the mornings. He is very upset by it in the moment but settles back to sleep quickly. It always happens around 4 or 5 am.

We get him to go pee right before bed and no excess liquids. He seems healthy though had a cold and cough all week but feeling better now. I asked him if he wakes up wet or if he doesn’t want to go to the bathroom and he said he doesn’t want to go and wants us to help him which I said we would do if he calls for us rather than him wetting the bed. We will see how that goes tonight but any thoughts?

Also FWIW it doesn’t matter to me if he is night trained at all. I’m cool with pull ups for however long.
