@CatchAFallingStar: oh ok. I would probably wait and then do a digital test first before going in for blood work. but for sure breastfeeding throws things off

I wouldn't yet. Given that you are nursing, really anything could be going on with your body.

@skipra: I know.. I think it's possible that I did ovulate and my progesterone was tested too early. But, I don't know for sure. Thanks

@CatchAFallingStar: my periods were regularly irregular so I understand how frustrating it can be when ttc! But if you haven't ovulated there is zero chance you're pregnant. I would do opk's to see if ovulation does eventually happen or until your period arrives in case it's just an anovulatory cycle.

I'd wait a little longer. I'm pretty regular - 29/30 days. But had a few occasional 34-36 day cycles. No reason I could think of. Hope u get answers either way!

@theotherstark: yeah, I tried FRER and a Target brand test. It's just weird that I've ovulated every month since September except the month we actually tried! What a pain Mother Nature can be. 🙄

Yes, I would just assume the hormones delayed ovulation, or it's an annovulatory cycle. Have you tried different types of tests? Sadly, I would probably just keep waiting. Sorry, that is really frustrating :bummed:

No, I wouldn't. I might if I had confirmed ovulation, but based on a previous post your doctor said you had insufficient progesterone to indicate ovulation. You can't be late if you didn't ovulate. You need to probably stop thinking of yourself as late as much as just waiting for your MIA period (i.e you aren't x DPO if you didn't ovulate as that means days past ovulation). I think that taking a beta would just add insult to injury and be an unnecessary cost.

Hopefully things do work out for you soon! I'm sorry for all the anxiety.

ETA: @MrsKansas is a faster typer :silly:

If you had a failed ovulation with low progesterone levels your period may take weeks to finally show up. If you were to get a beta, would your doctor prescribe Provera to induce a period? If not, I would save myself the time and money and just wait, as much as it sucks.
So sorry for all the anxiety this cycle

I'm officially 6 days late. I have had regular periods since September (and I thought ovulation as well). 29-30 day cycles every month. I'm now on cycle day 36. Negative home tests. I'm breastfeeding my 27-month-old and have already gotten responses from some of you that that is most likely the culprit. If it was you, would you go in for a beta anyway? Just to make certain? I know I would be getting positives by now. But, I'm just crazy and angry right now. 😩
