I am, so I would vote yes :) We booked ours before I found out I was pregnant so I'll be 11 weeks when we go on our next cruise.

I think it depends on what kind of vacation you're looking for. DH and I love cruises but I have friends that hate them. My take is you have to be kind of laid-back in your expectations, not be stressed with crowds or lines, and feel like the value is a trade-off for a more personalized experience you might get at an all-inclusive. Personally, I love it because you can do as much or as little as you want each day, depending on how you feel. It can be either relaxing or full of activities.

In terms of seasickness, my experience on large ships has been that they're pretty steady and you usually can't feel the motion.

ETA: Oops, didn't scroll down enough to read your most recent response. Sounds like a cruise may not be the best option for you now, but hopefully you find something that will be relaxing and enjoyable!

@raintreebee: We went to Riveria Maya for our honeymoon. I kinda have a stomach of steel and didn't have any tummy issues. (I went to Vietnam and ate food off the street and had no issues.) DH, on the other hand, had tummy issues when he was on our honeymoon. I was worried he didn't want to go back to Mexico, but he said he would go again for our baby moon. He is going to make sure to not drink the water.

Though, I am pregnant and might be a bit more cautious on the foods I eat.

@bluestriped bee: No, I would not go to Mexico. But I've also gotten terrible food poisoning in Cancun. On another trip, I had an accident and had a bad experience at the hospital. So I wouldn't risk it!

@bluestriped bee: Have you looked at AirBnB for CA coastal locations rather than hotels? It's usually cheaper, you get a whole house (including kitchen) and you can cook instead of eating out every meal. Or even VRBO.

@Mrs. Jacks: Haha. See I was thinking that since I'm already on anti-nausea medication (the patch that goes behind the ear and that drs prescribe for people with motion sickness) that maybe I would be okay because the medication would be working for both the HE and the sea sickness. Yeah, reading some of these responses being stuck on a boat and risking it probably isn't a good idea.

@bluestriped bee: It's hard for me to answer that because I know, personally, no, I would not have gone to Cabo either. But I really struggled with anxiety during my pregnancy and I often had trouble leaving my apartment because I was so nervous about something happening. So obviously, I was beyond the realm of normalcy in that respect and my answer shouldn't really affect your answer. I did not feel comfortable traveling anywhere, I flew to Miami when I was 15 weeks, had some spotting and had to go to the ER and from then on, swore that I would never be further than an hour away from my MFM again for the rest of the pregnancy. So it's really just a matter of what you are comfortable with. I'm sure Cabo is a great option and everything will be totally fine, so if you want to go then you should go!

@bluestriped bee: I think Oahu is a lot more budget friendly than Maui. We just went to Maui for the first time and everything was more expensive (IMHO), starting with flights. On Oahu, you don't need to rent a car if you stay in Honolulu (you could just rent for 1 day to drive up to the North Shore). For Maui, I think a car is required unless you want to stick to your resort.

I would go on a cruise, and I did go on one during my first pregnancy. But I've been on several cruises, so I knew exactly what to expect. I like cruising because it's relaxing, you have unlimited food available to you, the entertainment is fun, and it can be affordable! I know cruises can become germ infested if someone is sick, since there are so many people packed on the boat. I would wash my hands frequently, and avoid touching other people or doors/walls. I think it could be a fun babymoon, but if you're worried, there are lots of other options.

Nope, I had horrible morning sickness for the vast majority of my pregnancy, plus I would not go anywhere I would be worried to drink the water. They tell pregnant women to avoid buffets so a cruise just sounds like one huge endless buffet to me. And yep, all the virus outbreaks would be a negative.

We ended up flying 1 hour to So. Cal. where I parked it at the beach or the hotel pool and ate a lot of delicious food, got a prenatal massage, and basked in air-conditioning half naked on the hotel bed knowing I could sleep as much as I wanted and not have to clean the room.

@bluestriped bee: I wouldn't do it mainly because of the sea-sickness especially since you already feel nauseous.
We went on a cruise for our honeymoon, it was fun, but there were a ton of people everywhere all of the time and the boat rocked a lot (got a little nauseous a couple times).
I would pick something more private to enjoy.
Good luck deciding.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I don't think a cruise would be a good idea. I'll have to put it on my bucket list. Maybe in the future.

@T.H.O.U.: I did just look up an all-inclusive in Los Cabos, Mexico. Pretty affordable.

@Mrs Green Grass: Looking at a good Costco deal in Cabo.

@LindsayInNY: Thanks. When we went to Mexico for our honeymoon, we used cheap Caribbean to book. Costco deals are pretty good but I'll check out cheap Caribbean to see if they can beat Costco's prices.

@lawbee11: Thanks. I'm checking Cabo out now.

@Meowkers: We considered Hawaii. It's slightly cheaper to fly to Oahu. (My dream would be to go to Maui or one of the quieter islands) Also, there aren't any all inclusive resorts in Hawaii. Or at least when I searched it. So we would have to consider food costs, rental car and other entertainment like Luau.

We just got back from a babymoon cruise, and it was great. I loved being able to lay around if we wanted to, or go do things in port. We had a LOT fewer options for activities though, so if you're wanting to do things like snorkeling, don't plan on that being allowed. I would be nervous with the getting sick issue, but surely with being on so much already, you wouldn't be in trouble?
