While we were on our honeymoon, we even talked about going back there for our 10 year anniversary. We went to a private island on Turneffe Atoll in Belize for a scuba diving honeymoon. It was the first scuba trip we did together, and DH got certified a few months before specifically for the trip. We've since been on many scuba trips together, and while this trip only allowed for 2-3 dives a day (we typically do 4-5) the setting and personal attention of the staff more than made up for it. Plus, we were on our honeymoon and appreciated the extra cuddle time! We went for 10 days, not including the 2 travel days, and actually had the whole island to ourselves (minus the staff) for a day. There were only 8 other guests on the island the first week, and 6 others the next few days - they do pickups on the mainland twice a week. On our alone day, the staff set up a lobster luncheon for us on the veranda of our private villa - which they upgraded us to, due it being our honeymoon. We went to Phuket Thailand and loved it!<br /> We regularly talk about how we miss the massages, we found the best little place opposite our hotel so each night before bed we would have a massage.<br /> Everything is so cheap there, the massages worked out around $7 for an hour long full body massage, our 5 star hotel was the most luxurious place we had stayed (rose petals on the bed everynight, upgrade to a suite when they heard we were on our honeymoon) for a very cheap price and we got clothes taylor made for us. Next time I hope we can take the boys too! We even had a cyclone majorly change our plans- we got stranded in LA on our first day and had a blast at Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach. Then we got stranded in Nadi for several days and had some adventures before we were finally able to fly to our resort on a smaller island. The cyclone had hit our island particularly hard, and much of the foliage got stripped, so our sightseeing was a bit different from the usual :P </p> <p>@yerpie110: where did you go in Fiji? We've discussed that we wish we'd gone somewhere else. We went to Tahiti, and it just wasn't the right type of trip for us at that time. Of course it was beautiful and relaxing....but it was also REALLY expensive, and we spent a lot of time feeling guilty about how much it was all costing. We also went immediately after our wedding to maximize my husband's time he could take off work, and we were honestly so exhausted from the whole process that I'm sure that impacted it! Tahiti is also a truly "sit and relax" type of trip, and we tend to really enjoy our vacations more when we're active. We definitely should have taken a few months between wedding and honeymoon and gone to Europe, and we have a little regret over that.
