And I know DH couldnt. The thing is when I am out with him or family I give them my whole attention. Im only a tech addict when I'm alone. DH is constantly on his phone wherever we are. So the time he gets home from work until bed. We both really enjoy it we only focus on each other. We always go places and spend most of the weekend out and about so we're not on the computer at all. I'm also not a big phone person, so I'm not on mine very often. I wasn't on the computer very much during my maternity leave, either. It was nice not having a phone, but in my case we needed a phone because my SIL ended up having her baby a little earlier so it was a good thing DH had his. </p> <p>For reasons like that I don't think I'd ever want a completely tech free day. You just never know what's going to happen, and I never want to turn off my phone. We already have rules like no cell phones at dinner even though LO is only 15 months old. I just don't want her growing up thinking it's ok to be on the phone when we're eating. We were allowed to read, or play a game, or nap, or whatever we wanted, but we had to be quiet and we couldn't watch TV or play videogames or anything. I think kids these days are too addicted to tv, internet, cell phones and all the apps available and it really affects them socially. I was at the mall and met a group of teens adn they were all just hunched over the cellphones texting each other even though they were all right there! Sundays will now be phone-free, tv free, internet free - a true ol' fashioned family day.
