They were pretty strict with my brother at times (breaking the rules) but I was always very honest with them and was able to do the things that I wanted. My parents were very lax with both my brother and I. My dad's idea pf a curfew was "try to get home before the sun rises." But they were more strict with me since i was older! There were things I couldn't do at 13 that my brother could do at 12. But that was due to combination of him being older, and him being more irresponsible and needing stricter rules. If you were caught breaking curfew or in a lie.. your curfew was cut dramatically. As a parent, do you think you'd be more protective of a girl than a boy as a teen or pre-teen? </p>
