My DH (BF @ the time) bumped a neighbor's car once and I insisted that he leave a note. The damage was so minor that we asked if we could just pay cash but the neighbor &amp; his wife were being difficult about it....ended up his car got hit again by someone else and he must've got it fixed through the 2nd party's insurance b/c we never heard from them again. I was left a note once on my car, but when I called the number, it was a bogus #. When I was a teenager though I once hit someones parked car and drove away. As dumb as it sounds I actually didn't know how insurance worked so I assumed it would be fine for them to go through their own insurance. Some lady must've been parking her car and accidentally bumped into my car by accident. She left a note with her number telling us where the contact was made. We didn't find any scratches but called her anyway to thank her for leaving the note. </p>
