I would be scare of a neighbor's cat climbing over the fence, possibly scratching the baby. We have unfriendly cats in our neighborhood. I would be concerned with bee stings or mosquito stings. Leaving the baby outside where you can't see them so they can get fresh air? I don't really get it. In this case I think fresh air is over rated. Or is it so you don't wake them up? I would just carry the stroller inside. The time I did it was at my IL's house. They live in a row house with a small garden and fully enclosed fence that does not open. When DS was sleeping in the stroller we would wheel him right into the garden and leave him there to finish his nap. Partly because with parents getting in hot water with CPS for letting elementary schoolers walk to the park alone, what do you think they're going to say if a neighbor sees an infant outside alone and calls? That might sound ridiculous, but there have been some pretty ridiculous stories like that lately. And partly because it just sounds like a bad idea. I'm worried about bee stings (DH has an anaphylactic reaction and DDs haven't been tested), and also just think about how scared my daughters would be to wake up in their stroller and see no one. I leave my 3 year old to run inside for a minute to grab things, but never my one year old. Even the three year old worries me - there's plenty of stuff out there that she might decide to taste/climb etc.<br /> My neighbors left their 4 year old sleeping in her stroller on our front landing a few weeks ago. That's just barely off the sidewalk. Maybe they were watching from the window but that puts them at least 2 stories up from where she was!
