Do the happy dance!!! My LO slept thru the night for the very first time at exactly two months old and I know what you mean. When I woke up to light outside and no baby crying, I freaked out at first and ran to check on her. She was fine and I was confused! Then she kept on doing it except for a few nights here and there until a few weeks ago. Now she's up at 430 to nurse every night. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Yes let her sleep :)

My LO was EBF and was sleeping 6-8 hour stretches at 2 months and soon after was going 8-10 hour stretches and finally 12 hour stretches by 3 months...breastfed babies can STTN :)

I slept through the night the first night I came home from the hospital and then every night after I was 2 weeks old. Trust me, I'm fine and am banking on good sleeping karma for when my LO is born in November. The only time I would wake a sleeping baby is if s/he were sleeping for long stretches during the day so they don't confuse day/night.

I don't have kids yet, but my mom has always talked about how I slept through the night literally the first night I was born until the nurse woke me up to feed...I was almost 10 pounds at birth and so after that night my mom asked her dr. if I slept all night again did I have to be woken, and he said definitely not! I turned out just fine =-) So I would think as PPs have said, no need to wake a sleeping baby unless your dr. tells you they need that nighttime feeding!

I agree... as long as shes gaining weight and healthy, let her sleep. My 4 week old has gone 5-6 hrs on occasion. Its so difficult getting her down that theres no way I want to wake her! I figure she'll wake up if she's hungry.

My LO slept a 7 hour stretch at 7 weeks (average was 5 at that time) but we started putting him to bed at 8pm at 4 weeks so it wasn't technically sleeping through the night. I was ecstatic though and I had to relieve my breasts by hand expressing in the sink!

Next time, definitely don't wake her up!

Yes! I would definitely let her sleep. My daughter was sleeping for long stretches by 2 months, and it was complete bliss! Now at 2.5 months her only nighttime wake up is happening around 5 AM. I'm hoping that she stretches out her sleep by another hour or two soon, at which point I will be able to get a full uninterrupted night of sleep finally!

I wouldn't wake her! That's awesome. The longest stretch I've had was 6 hours on Tuesday. It was great.

ohmygod I would not wake her either!

The one night LO slept for 5 hours straight and I was shocked! I think it was last week (6 weeks old) and I did a double take at the clock!

Here's hoping a full nights sleep is in my future too! :P

Don't wake her!!!!!!!!!!!! Mavi slept 8 hours straight starting 6 weeks old... and i'm sure it helped in the sleeping dept. You don't want to wake her and then she starts adjusting to that routine, she might never go back. A baby will wake up if they are hungry... IMO

I would let her sleep and throw a party for myself! :) Seriously, that's great, and as long as she is gaining weight normally, you can let her sleep as long as she wants.

My baby is 2 months old today, (8 weeks and 5 days to be exact) last night she slept 7 hours straight. Which is the longest she has ever slept. I think it might be due to the fact that I mixed some formula into her breast milk earlier in the evening and she also had a bottle of formula only in the evening. but her last meal before she slept was 100% breast milk. I felt kinda strange when I woke up this morning and realized she pretty much slept through the night and never cried. I decided to wake her up around 6am to feed her. I just wondered if this is normal for a 2month old who is primarily breast fed?. Should I have woken her up earlier, or just let her sleep as long as she wants
