My knee jerk reaction to the picture was "NO," but honestly, my doctor used forceps to try (unsuccessfully) to get G unstuck, and it did a lot of damage to her poor head.. this looks like it wouldn't be as traumatic to the baby... Our doctor gave us a choice of either forceps, vacuum or c-section. I chose to have a forceps assisted birth based on his recommendations and my poor husband is still traumatized by it. The goal I think is for it to be used in poor countries where women who don't have access to skilled medical care. On many cases these women would end up losing the baby and risking their lives as well.
