Yes yes yes! Our DD started sleeping 10 hours at the 10 week point. I must admit the first few nights I would wake up and check on her but after that I relaxed.

My daughter started STTN at 11 weeks (and stopped at 4 months) - I had pretty bad engorgement so I pumped for comfort and to build up a freezer stash....ended up with a pretty big oversupply in the beginning but it was amazing to have that stash. At first I pumped in the middle of the night but then switched to right before I went to bed and right after the first morning feed.

YES! Enjoy the sleep. my LO was a great sleeper at 2 months and then 3 months hit and it all went to hell and I've been up a few times a night ever since. Seriously, let that baby and yourself sleep!

Of course! LO 1 started at 8 weeks and LO 2started at 5-6 weeks and I always let them sleep. I usually pumped a few times while they slept! Ugh, looking forward to the day when my newborn STTN... :silly:

That sounds like a dream! Neither of my EBF babes STTN until after 1! I wouldn't be worried about my supply, I think your body will adjust accordingly; though it'll probably take a few days of waking up with leaky boobs :P

Experiences vary and there is probably not a one size fits all answer. I did vote to not wake based on my experience. Both of mine STTN early. They were also both big babies. I did not wake either past two weeks of age. No sense creating a habit for them. With my first I woke up and pumped around 4 am. I built a great freezer stash. I also found it terribly hard to fall back asleep. Once I saw there would be no 4 month sleep regression, I also slept through the night. With my second, I had a better comfort level with the fact that my body would produce milk as needed, even if there was a regression. I did not wake to pump, though did have some engorgement to overcome! Sleep was glorious. My freezer stash suffered, but I knew I was not returning to work. And when my second had a sleep regression, my middle of the night supply was still there to feed him. I never had a supply issue with either baby and nursed each 15.5 months+.

i would and i wouldn't pump any extra, from what i understand, your body is supposed to adjust to when your baby feeds, so it should all work out.

Q has been sleeping long stretches since the very beginning. It went from 5-6 hour stretches to 9-10 hour ones. We had one week where I woke her to feed because she wasn't gaining. Otherwise we don't wake her. I wake up naturally in the middle of the night and pump since it's the only time I pump. I don't *have* to but feel better having that milk for a bottle. I asked the doctor at her two month appointment this week and she said it's not normal but to go with it lol. She said Q will just eat more in quantity and frequency during the day to make up for the lack of night feedings.

Yup. I stopped waking him up for feedings at 5 days old. With the blessing of the pediatrician. At 5 weeks, he was consistently sleeping 9p-5/6a. I had no problems with supply - built up a good stash before returning to work and was able to EBF for 12m (and continued BF till 14m).

My baby did that and I just nursed on demand all day long. Lots of cuddling on the couch for naps and netflix! And guess what. It didn't last. 3 mo growth spurt--4mo sleep regression--moving to the crib... Enjoy it while it lasts!

Um YES!! It likely won't last forever so enjoy it while it lasts. My LO started STTN similarily at 9 weeks and around 17 or 18 weeks went through a regression with 1-3 wake ups. She started STTN again around 10-11 months.
