I buy things at consignment shops and garage sales so it can't be too much different. DH dug a glider out of the dumpster ;) we replaced all the cushions/fabric, cleaned it and painted it black. You would never know. Long story short, if it can be cleaned then yeah!

If that was common in my neighborhood, and it was something I could scrub with bleach or wash on hot, ok. And I'm pretty low stress about germs.

I would, we see that quite a bit around here too. If it was easy to clean and in good shape, I say why not?

Yup I've done it..... got ones of those toy cars that the kids ride in where they use their feet to scoot it around and a tool play set. Both in perfect condition. D's to young for them now but he will love them when he is older. Of coarse I will sanitize them before I. Give them to him though.....

People don't do stuff like that around here so I'm not sure. Probably not bc DD has such low interest in toys. We don't need anymore!

Depending on what it was, potentially! I'd clean and sanitize the crap out of it first, of course!

We live in a pretty good/safe neighborhood, so I probably would if it was something super easy to clean. I saw a tiny desk on the curb a few months ago and I seriously considered stopping (I was driving). I didn't and now I kind of regret it!

A lot of people in our neighborhood will leave out old toys on their front stoop, free for anyone to take. We haven't really taken any of these, except for two plastic shovels that we snagged for Charlie to use in his sandbox. Oh and a plastic toy grocery cart I found on the street once.

Made sure to clean the crap out of them. Hope they weren't irradiated or something though. Saw an episode of House where that happened once and now I always worry about it.
