I was generally under a microscope, while my younger siblings got away with murder. I would probably choose to be the youngest, if I could! At the time though, not so much. My parents learned from their mistakes with my older siblings, so they were much stricter on me. BUT- to that end, I am the responsible one with a good job and great family. I was also very pampered because I am 5 years younger than my closest sibling, so I got to experience middle school and high school as an only child. I would say that during my teenage years, my mom and I had kind of a strained relationship in some ways--but that's more because my mom is a 1960's throwback who had totally different expectations for me vs. my brother (who was 22 months older) and we would fight constantly about that. Like I had to do my own laundry, clean the house every weekend, etc etc while my brother "had to work on his schoolwork" or "had to go to a friend's birthday party". But strangely, after I wasn't a teenager any more that totally went away and my mom joined the 21st century.
