I don't know how it is now but in elementary school they sent out a menu for the lunches for the month. So hopefully we can look ahead and plan what days she would like to eat the school lunch. And we'll pack lunch the rest of the time. I always ate the school lunch growing up bc my mom worked and didn't have time to pack a lunch for me. It wasn't awful - it had a hot portion (pizza, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, corn dog, etc) and a cold portion (side salad, fruit, or veggies and dip). Sometimes it's burgers. Sometimes it's chicken fried rice. But it's the same 5 things every week. So I pack her lunches everyday. Which is basically 2 small meals, a fruit, and a yogurt. It's tiring and stressful trying to come up with variety since it's 2 meals a day. Plus dinner afterwards. It would be so much easier for me if Charlie ate the school lunch, but he eats packed lunches much better so I always pack lunches. There is the positive that I'm packing healthy lunches, but it is a lot more work and much more costly.</p> <p>Which would you prefer? </p>
