I personally wouldn't - I think I'd find it too distracting. But if you do, setting up before you start driving and unhooking once you arrive at your destination sounds like the way to go.

Y'all are making me feel a lot better about this. I know that there will be some, not a ton, but some, afternoons where I am alone at work from 4-7 or even 3-7. If I take a break right before that, I can stretch until we close before needing to pump again.

I have done it! Same as others said.. Just make sure you don't have to have any human interaction while pumping... Drive thru, parking attendant, etc. Makes for awkward stares...

I agree with PP's, set yourself up and start pumping before you leave, make sure nothing is leaking and hit the road. Efficient use of time IMO.

I would totally do it! Mommyhood is all about efficiency $ that's pretty damn efficient!

Yup, I did it a lot on my commute days. I set up before and threw a cover on. My favorite cover for driving was the Udder Cover because it wasn't as long as my Bebe Au Lait cover.

I didn't unhook anything until I got home.

I would. I would set myself up before leaving and wait until let down to start driving. Then the only thing you need to do while in motion is switch the pump off when you're done. Then unhook everything when you get home. Pushing a button on a pump is no different to pushing a button to change the radio station.

I'm the same as @HabesBabe and try to drive as distraction free as possible too. I don't even like to eat while driving so I can't imagine pumping!

Personally, I wouldn't. I like to drive as distraction-free as possible. But I know many mamas here on HB have/do!

I go back to work on 2/4 and my commute is about half an hour. Because it's going to be hard to pump the last 3-4 hours of work, I've been thinking about pumping while driving home.

Have any of you tried to do this? I have a hands free bra and cover, so I don't think I'd need anything else.

Thoughts?
