In this instance (with them demanding/threatening you - what?!!?) I would *not* buy a cot. I would call the director right this second and tell her I wanted to speak with her when I picked my kid up about this issue. It is not okay to not provide cots/nap mats and I'm pretty sure it's a licensing infraction to have children sleeping on the floor! I'd ask to see the cots they deem unacceptable and if I thought one was good enough I'd insist they use that one until they bought replacements.<br /> If they had been nice about it or maybe asked each parent for a $5-10 donation towards buying a new set for the daycare I wouldn't have a problem.
