The only problem is we have to pay way more in childcare than what I make so essentially, we are paying for me to work! Seems stupid but I just don't want to give up my job, I'm hoping it will be worth it long-term, career-wise. Sham until kids are in school, then work part-time, unless I get a school job (rare openings), then I will work full time in that case. Except, I am not so zealous about it, as it was a tough transition for me to go from woh to a sahm, but that is only because my city is boring and the weather is bad so I get very stir-crazy. I do love the precious moments that only I share with my son:))</p> <p>@photojane: my parents were BROKE but my dad supported y mom's courageous decision to stay home with us kids . Some days I teach on site, do tutoring, others I run an online class, and other days I avoid work completely. I love my setup, but would always love more money and smaller class sizes. With that arrangement, I love being a WOHM mom. If I could change one thing maybe it would be to work 3/4 time just to have a little more free time around the house to work on projects, but I think I'd probably always wish for a few more hours of free time no matter how much I had!
