More pain shorter recovery.
Both of my pp recoveries were pretty painful (2nd and 3rd degree tears). Within 1-2 weeks I was feeling good though.

@bree72: I agree completely! I ended up with a csection too and often thought during recovery that I couldn't imagine having to deal with painful bathroom trips and squirt bottles, etc

Ha, those are two very different areas! I had a csection and would choose that recovery over two very painful weeks radiating from my lady bits.

I always prefer the shorter, yet more painful option. I'm not a masochist, I swear. Whatever gets me back to feeling like myself the fastest!

My vbac recovery was so much more painful than my c-section recovery, but it was because olive had to stay in the hospital an extra week and I had to walk back and forth from a local hotel every day.

After 2 weeks, I was feeling pretty good. With my c-section, it took at least a month before I was pretty back to normal. While the first couple of days were pretty bad, it was manageable with pain meds and the remaining 3 weeks weren't nearly as painful as the 2 weeks post vbac recovery.

I preferred my c-section recovery.

Would you rather have a painful recovery and get it over with in a short time? Or a less painful recovery that takes longer?
