@TurtleDoves: yeah, agreed. I am a SAHM/PT nanny (only 2x a week), so I have the flexibility to nap myself (though I never do),but even if I don't nap I still have easy days at home. I don't need much brainpower/energy for stuff :) But I REALLY enjoy the time to myself during the day. like I said earlier, adjustment from 2 to 3 (people) has been hard, so I enjoy the breaks.

I don't yet have my son so take my opinion with a grain of salt...
But I am the type of person who has SUPER choppy nighttime sleep and I'm up a lot and a very light sleeper too, so anything gets me up. That being said: I don't think having the LO will be all that terrible for me because I am used to not getting good night's sleep.
What I love are my naps! I have learned to be dependent on naps, sadly. So, if he sleeps some at night but mostly during the day--i'll be a happy camper. Of course at some point i'd worry if he didn't sleep through the night as well but that's later down the road.
I get better sleep in spurts and have never really had a 9-hour night since high school anyways.
*I plan to be a sahm so that makes a big difference too. I can imagine if I worked--omg. Yeah i'd want that sleep!

10000000000%, hands-down, a better night sleeper! Not only is it better for the parents, but better for the baby too!

I'd love to have a good nightsleeper, my son's not a champion napper by any means, but if he'd just sleep at night, we'd be much better over here.

I'd rather have a great night sleeper. I feel like I'm more prepared to deal with nap issues if I'm well rested from the night before.

My daughter is a great night sleeper, but a terrible napper. I get pretty annoyed that I can't count on long stretches of sleep during the day when I can get things done... but I am so thankful for my sleep at night.

@HeatherlovesKenny: Yeah that's where I am right now. One kid, so I totally love/need my time, it's been so hard adjusting from just us two to three!!

I would say a better night sleep. I can't really take naps when baby does. When I only had one kiddo, the long naps sometimes saved me though--I needed to be myself just for an hour or two sometimes.

We have a GREAT napper (3 consistent naps a day, each 1.5-2.5 hours long!), but an awful sleeper (varies between 2-4 hr stretches).

I'm not sure though, I would love his night sleep to be better - but I so appreciate having those 3-4 hours to myself during the day too!!
