Thank you, everyone! I did request a refund and she sent me a prepaid shipping label so I'll be sending it back today. Although I feel bad that she had to spend $20 on this failed transaction (since she also has to refund the shipping I paid to get the item), the more I look at it, she wasn't honest in the description.

Complain to eBay! I had a similar situation and they refunded me, plus I did have to return the item.

I would definitely ask for a refund! I believe if you can file a case directly through eBay since the item was not as described in the auction. I did this last time for an item I received that was broken. eBay refunded me the full amount + shipping costs and I didn't have to mail the item back.

Yes, I definitely would! You are so nice to feel bad for her about the return shipping costs. Never would've been an issue if she had been upfront in the first place.

I would ask for a refund. They should have disclosed any stains!

@winter_wonder: @Bao: Yeah, if it was one small stain inside, I would be kinda annoyed that it wasn't disclosed, but would look past it. I just looked again, and there is one very large stain and 2 smaller stains, just in the inner lining :( So disappointed, b/c the coat itself is very cute, but the condition just sucks :(

Yep, the item was not as described. That's not your fault. If anything I'd be super annoyed at having to go through the hassle of returning it.

I agree with Bao. A small stain on the inside is one thing, but this sounds like more

I would! It's not your fault they were not truthful. If there was a SMALL stain on the inside I would look past it, but this sounds like a lot more than that.

I recently purchased a coat for my LO off eBay from a seller who advertised it as used but in very good condition. She didn't mention any stains or anything. I got the item today and immediately noticed a huge stain in the inner lining of the coat. The bottom inch of the coat also looks dark and dirty - and there was a small stain on the sleeve :(

I'm not sure if these stains would come out, and since the coat is dry clean only, it would cost at least $10 to find out. I am thinking of requesting a refund, but I feel kinda bad bc the seller would have to pay for return shipping as well, which would be almost $12... But I'm annoyed that it wasn't accurately described. Grr.
