Agree with everyone that I would try again. Every situation is different so you have to use your best judgment but even though it's hard, I believe one of the best things you can do or your child is help them develop good sleep habits. I believe it just gets harder as they get older...

I would definitely. How does DD soothe herself? I rocked LO to sleep, but it was like 1 minute of rocking and once i put her down in the crib she started sucking her fingers.

I don't really know the specifics of your situation. I think if you've done what you could to establish good sleep habits and a healthy routine then doing CIO may be the best next step. Being up all night with her at the 6 month mark is hard!

Does your LO take a paci? We did sleep training with a paci and it helped DS settle down faster. If you are concerned about vomiting, you could try that.

Is she able to roll tummy to back or just back to tummy? If not, does she get frantic during tummy time? I'm curious whether being frantic is surprise that she's on her tummy, anger that she can't flip back over, or something else.

What time are you putting her to bed? Is she very tired when you put her down, or could you push her bedtime back? How long does she stay asleep before she rolls/wakes up?

DS is rolling over back to tummy but luckily he is fine sleeping on his stomach. He is/was sleep trained at 3.5 months, but we are having an issue getting him to bed before 9:30 (sometimes as late as 11:00) - bedtime is supposed to be between 8:30 and 9:00. I'm trying to get his bedtime back on schedule this week. If he's not sleepy enough, his crying escalates to him having drool and tears all over his crib, to the point that I have to change his sheets.

DS hasn't had any teeth come in yet, so I can't help you on that point. If you can figure out why she gets so crazy on her tummy, I would definitely try sleep training again. If not, could you try a different method of sleep training?

I would. I don't know the specifics of your situation but maybe your LO now expects to be rocked once she wakes? For us, sleep training really helped our LO learn to self soothe and put herself back to sleep. There have been a few nights here and there when she will wake up and I go into her room and soothe her and sit with her but after I've gone in once, I don't go in again and she eventually goes back to sleep after a few minutes of crying. Sometimes I give her teething tablets if I feel like the crying is teething related.

We did a week of sleep training when DD was 4.5 months old. It was successful and limited her evening and nighttime wakings. She learned to roll at 5 months and would get stuck on her belly, get frantic, and throw up. So we started rocking her. Now at 6.5 months we nurse to sleep and she is up 3-4 times before our 10 o'clock dreamfeed and needless to say DH and I are rocking her all evening and all night now too. We would consider sleep training again except: 1) different then her crying before , she becomes frantic, hysterical quickly, and throws up all in her crib and 2) she may be getting a third tooth.

What would you do? The amount of time we spend rocking her is crazy. And at 17 pounds its not so easy either lol
