I took LO to movies almost every week for a year, but it was designed for moms and babies to go, so crying babies were acceptable. The other good thing was that they lowered the volume and had a change table available. Despite how accessible it was, i had to remove my expectations that i actually got to watch the ENTIRE movie peacefully, simply because LO needs attending to and it takes my attention away from the move. But i was okay with that, because i mostly went for the sake of an outing and i made some friends who joined me many times with their LOs.</p> <p>As well, i took LO maybe 2 or 3 times to a movie on saturday matinee with LO (not adapted for moms and babies). Then I had to accept that i would actually miss parts of the movie because noisy babies were not acceptable, so we sat at the edge of a row near the exit so i could step out with LO quickly if need be. An almost empty theater is not the same thing as an empty theater, and if I was in there with you guys I would be pretty pissed at having the movie I paid to see interrupted by baby stuff. I feel like elementary school children are too young to be exposed to the content of the movie, toddlers are squirmy and noisy, and babies cry which causes the parents to get up and walk in front of the screen to go out of the theatre. A woman and her daughter (maybe 6?) sat behind us. The woman explained the movie the ENTIRE TIME to her child. Then her child got bored and started running up and down the stairs. OMG our heads almost exploded. I feel like I go to the movies to get away from life. Not to deal with someone else's kids. Ugh.
