Sometimes they make little noises in their sleep that the monitor picks up, and I don't get out of bed but I just watch the monitor to see if she's really going to wake up, or needs a pacifier, or just made a random noise. I have an old black and white, boxy video monitor that was used for many years before I bought it from a neighbor at a yard sale for $10! Is it audio only? We got an audio one and ended up not using it as much as I thought. We're all on the same level of the house, so if he cries we can hear him without the monitor - most nights we don't turn it on anymore. </p> <p>But when he was younger (and i stopped holding him while he slept all the time!)
