My LO goes to a daycare center with a lot of teachers. I wouldn't trust every single one of them but there is a good number that I would. These are generally the ones who are mothers themselves and have young ones at home right now, too. I feel like they would be the most in touch with what my LO needs.

For one of them in particular (there are three care givers in the infant room for our daycare) I would say absolutely without a doubt. For the other two I would prefer not simply because one is older and the grandmotherly-type and she probably doesn't have the energy for that length of time in addition to being at work all day. The other simply because she is still young-ish and I imagine has a robust nightlife and again, wouldn't want to impose. The one I implicitly trust absolutely loves my son and would do anything for him.

When we had bedbugs and had to fumigate, our nanny offered to take Charlie into her home for three days (and two nights). It was an incredibly generous offer, and we took her up on it! We just trusted her completely, and she was so much closer to Charlie afterward. It was really wonderful to see. It did take a bit of a leap of faith though.
