One of the midwives I saw most for my pregnancy was a friend of a friend and I liked it (obviously she never mentioned anything to the friend about me!) It's was a little embarrassing at first to have her as my gyno, but now I love it. I can be 100% open with her & I think I'm willing to ask her more questions than a stranger. yes she's seen my goodies, but she's seen 100s of them, so I try not to let that bother me! She offered to take me on as a patient if I was comfortable with it. I talked with DH and we both felt she would be very professional about it. And it's not like she's my OB and will be seeing my privates. ;) SO I think I'm going to switch to her. Would you use a acquaintance as your primary doctor?
