Hubs and I said from the start that we weren't comfortable with any sort of care in someone else's home. It would be either a nanny in our home with just our child, or a day care center. I'd be more than comfortable giving references, allowing background checks &amp; drivers history, etc.! It's also nerve wracking from the sitters pov, too, because while everyone saves with cash/check (no taxes because you can "gift" a certain amount per year), you run the risk that the parent isn't going to pay you when they're supposed to. I found a couple of ads for SAHM's who are looking to bring another baby into their home for some extra cash. Would you trust this situation with appropriate references, background checks, etc? </p>
