If I got them from someone I knew I would use them probably, I'd just sterilize & buy new nipples.

only if they were glass. i don't even like to use my own plastic bottles for a long time because they get run through the dishwasher so often. in fact i bought new bottles for olive.

but if it were glass, then new nipples and sterilize and i'd definitely use them.

Glass definitely, plastic probably not since they are ever so slightly permeable and I'm iffy about plastics anyway.

I would! I don't see what everyone's big deal is with using gently-used baby stuff! They go through it all so fast, it's not like it's falling apart (usually!). For bottles, I would definitely buy new nipples.

Glass, yes. I bought two Born Free glass bottles for $1 each at a garage sale. If LO ends up hating them, I won't be out a lot of money. I'll get new nipples and give them a good cleaning before I use them.
I would only use 2nd-hand plastic bottles if I knew the previous owner well, when they were purchased, and if they were in good condition - but I'm not a fan of plastic bottles.

Yes. That's all we use are used ones and the ones that came with the pump, those are new.

I want to know why the people who voted no wouldn't!

DH's old coworker gave us a TON of gently/barely used baby bottles when LO was born. Really nice stuff--Lifefactory glass bottles with silicon sleeves, Tommee Tippee bottles, and a bunch of other brands.

My mom sterilized them, but I never used them since I had some Dr. Brown's glass bottles that I had bought and I stopped bottle feeding LO after a couple of months.

I plan on pumping and bottle feeding baby #2 during the day and nursing at night and I'm wondering if I should use the "used" bottles or if I should buy some new ones...

What would you do?
