When I got the call with those results, I just couldn't wrap my head around it because I was positive I was carrying a girl. And sure enough, at our anatomy scan they saw a girl (who is now 7.5 weeks old)! She loves her boys but was so excited. Fast forward to her labor that went awry and ended in an emergency c-section under general anesthesia and when she woke up she was handed a healthy baby boy. It took her a few days to come to peace with everything that happened. For peace of mind you can have blood work done that is supposedly 95% accurate. Their first LO was a girl so they were excited to have one of each. Later anatomy scan showed it was most definitely a girl. She and her DH were so excited (1st baby) and they both imagined their lives and home with a baby girl. Then she had another scan later and was told baby was a boy. She initially felt devastated then guilty that she felt devastated. But her boy is now 5 years old and is the BIGGEST mamas boy 😬 </p>
