I would probably snap on MIL right then and there. I wouldn't just take my baby and go away and I wouldn't be able to let DH talk to her at some later point. I would freak out right then and there. Probably make her leave the house immediately too. It sounds like her MIL desperately misses that "connection" from the newborn stage. Some time passed and the woman thought the MIL might need some help so she went to check on baby and MIL in nursery and found MIL allowing the baby to suckle on her breast. She took the baby away and told MIL she had to leave in the morning. (Her DH was away).
