we travel with our city mini and love it! it's great for the airport and destinations, and gate checks easily.

if you are going to *only* use the bob for running maybe you can get a second hand running stroller, the ones that seem to be more specifically for running and are usually cheaper? i don't have a lot of experience so i'm probably explaining it wrong, but it seems like craigslist always as a bunch of lightweight truly-for-running strollers around for good prices! :) the BOB is awesome though, and i'm sure you wouldn't regret buying it :)

@TurtleDoves: Great suggestion :) Didn't think much about the down-the-line resale value based on color. Good call!

I don't think it is overkill, I voted blue because Bob's have high resale value but I think blue will probably make it easier to sell than the plum should you decide you hate jogging or whenever you are done with it.

Not overkill. We did it and honestly, if you can afford it (ie: not having to cut corners *just* for the stroller) then, do it. I voted plum, even though I have a son.

I've just added a poll to help me obsess even more! Amazon is running a sale today (!) and I cannot decide on the color, if I do choose to take the route of the BOB. Naturally, my obsessing will probably cause me to miss out on the sale!

I have a Britax Be Agile (similar to city mini) and I just bought a second hand Bob from another mom so I can start running with LO. I wanted a jogging stroller but couldn't commit to the full proce, so this was a nice compromise.

i don't think that's overkill. i've considered getting a bob in addition to our umbrella stroller. i just haven't made the commitment to exercise :)

Thanks both for your responses!

@Bluebonnet: Do you travel at all with your City Mini? We do not have an umbrella stroller right now and I worry that we would have too many "heavy duty" strollers and not a light-enough weight one. I guess the CM could be a good traveler, though.

We have a City Mini and a Bob. I don't think its overkill. Our day to day stroller is the City Mini. We run with the Bob.

FWIW - the Bob is massive and heavy (especially compared to the City Mini).

We have a snap-and-go and a BOB. I haven't used either yet since my baby is still cooking, but our BOB is older and we couldn't find a car seat adapter that would fit our seat. I don't think it's redundant. Jogging strollers are beastly!

Help! Stroller dilemma!

We currently have a City Mini GT which we LOVE but I've been thinking that I would like to start jogging with LO. Do you think it's redundant to have both our City Mini and a BOB or other jogging stroller? I really like the City Mini and don't want to get rid of that (it's a great everyday stroller for us)... I just feel like one more stroller might be overkill...

All opinions are appreciated!
