Especially since they've mentioned there "may" be layoffs in the future. We all know none of our jobs are guaranteed, but offices generally never mention the words "may be layoffs" without there usually being some layoffs within the following year barring a huge turnaround! That worries me. And they're offering buyout. If you find a job before those 5 months, does that mitigate your package? The company is offering a buyout program for staff. I would get 5 months continued salary, health insurance, and they'd still contribute to my 401k in that period. I have to decide by mid-January and once I say yes I have a month and a half to reconsider. They mention that their may be layoffs in the future.</p> <p>I'm really thinking I should take it, although I am nervous about it.</p> <p>What would you do? </p>
