Some areas have baby equipment rentals. If you are flying, maybe the area you are flying into would have this? I looked into this one once (https://babysaway.com/) and there was another local business that offered the same service. We ended up getting a crib at the hotel but this might be an option if the hotel doesn't have that as an option.

Any chance any of the places you are looking at renting have a crib/PNP? Many on air b n b do. I would try to find one with one there for you and then bring the other.

What about an inflatable toddler sized air mattress, like The Shrunks for the older child and a pack and play for the baby? I've travelled with a very basic pack and play in my suitcase, in my checked bag. It's not ideal, but it can be done.

I would bring a toddler sleeping bag for the 2.5 and cosleep with the baby. I have a really cute one from target that zips up into a little square and fits in Dd's suitcase. She slept in the closet of our hotel room the last time we traveled which I know sounds weird but I shut the door part way and make a little room for her. I prefer to bring as little as possible on the plane!

@Banana330: what does the bnb suggest for sleeping your LO1? We have often put our LOs in the stroller bassinets when traveling, so that might be an option for LO2.

I would contact them to see what they can do for you first.

Assuming you have friends/family at this wedding, maybe someone more local can buy something for you and bring it there and it wouldn't be something you take back?

@Banana330: I'm not really sure what a manor house is (I'm thinking it's more like a hotel than a private residence?). But if they are used to hosting events, surely they've had to accommodate children before. I would call or email them and see what, if anything, they have. Maybe they at least have a pack n play?

I definitely wouldn't travel with travel cribs, especially since you will be traveling around, and European hotels tend to have smaller sized rooms. I would probably ask for the rollaway bed for the older LO and cosleep with the baby. If you do an airbnb, ask if they can provide a crib. I've found airbnb hosts to be pretty accommodating and able to provide a pack n play when we've needed one.

@erinbaderin: There's a good chance we won't be able to get a room with two doubles (they often offer a queen or two twins). We're looking for airbnb's for part of it but the wedding venue itself is more like a bnb...

I would get a room with two double beds, put the toddler in one (build a "wall" of pillows around the edge), and either put the baby in a crib from the hotel if that's possible, travel with a pack and play, or just co-sleep with the baby.

We have a wedding in December in the UK, we will have our 2.5 year old and 3 month old with us. Rooms are fairly tiny and I'm not sure we can fit two phil and ted's traveller cribs in them (nor do I really want to lug two!). What would you do? Take two? take something like the dockatot? build a makeshift crib in a drawer? We never co-slept with DD1, and she's still a pretty wild sleeper so I don't think she'd sleep with us.

We're travelling around a bit (trains, flights, tube etc) so something that isn't too cumbersome would be best.
