When is your Spring Break week? Wish it could have been this week. Hope R feels better soon. It's great that you have childcare with your sister. I would choose that and go to work.

I'd say go to work. It's great that your sister can watch her. I'm a teacher, too, and received a warning from my principal in January about my attendance - all days I missed staying home with a sick LO. I know you feel guilty leaving your baby, but you did spend half of last week caring for her. I'd try to save the days you need to take off for times when you have no back-up care. Good luck and I hope your DD feels better soon!

@Mrs. Taco: I completely agree! It's also hard because I feel so bad for my 'kids' at school. On Friday, both of their teachers were out because my partner's son was sick too.

It sux but I would go to work. I'd save the sick days for anything that might come up in the future. If your LO will be okay with your sis and the one who is really having a hard time is you, then I'd tough it out and go. If you think LO will be significantly better off if you stay with her over your sister, then I would stay.

@Mrs. Taco: ugh, I understand both sides. I'd want to stay home but I cannot leave my actual plans for a sub. I'd go in though since you missed half of last week. Hope R feels better soon!

@babyjmama: I suppose I could say 150 people rely on me? Meaning teenagers.... :silly: a few days out and my classes get SO behind because they do nothing with a sub.

@singingbee: Glad to hear your LO is feeling better  Thank you, I called my sister, unless R gets worse over night, I'm going to head in. When it comes to these situations, this whole WOH thing is hard!

I would go to work. We have been in the same position. Lo got croup and has been sick since Wednesday. I was out Thursday and Friday. She's been fever free since last night so I think she will be okay. If she wasn't well my mom would have come to watch her so I wouldn't miss anymore work. I hope r feels better soon!

I voted go to work but ONLY because in my job if I'm out it really puts a strain on the other ppl in my department so it makes it worse when I do go back. If I weren't in a small dept that relied on me, I'd stay home.

Long story short R is really sick and has been since last week. I already missed 2 1/2 days last week but she still has a fever...tomorrow I have two options: stay home again or my sister will watch her.

I obviously trust my sister to take care of her but I feel so guilty leaving her. DH is out of town so he can't take off work. Plus, he won't be able to help tonight (she's already been up once since being put down at 7...)

I'm not concerned about leave/money but I am concerned about how it looks to take so many days off. I just went back less than two months ago (my principal understands, but still, I feel like it looks terrible!).

Anyways...WWYD?
