She sounds a lil bit self-consumed. I am noticing this a lot in our society nowadays. Why are we speaking so loud about our accomplishments. The self-esteem movement was really not carried out well. It may also be because we don't consciously tell each other our observations of their behaviour so all they have got to go by is their own interpretation of themselves. She got mad at me when I quit Facebook 2 months ago because "how am I supposed to get new pictures?"</p> <p>I don't know, mom, maybe try actually seeing your grandkid once in a while?</p> <p>She's currently mad at me for a whole variety of things that basically boil down to me putting my family's needs first and setting and enforcing boundaries. Sorry you have to deal with her! My MIL is bad in her own ways but not on the same level. She only lives an hour away but we barely see them because they make zero effort...yet she also wants people to think she is super involved so we randomly get asked for pics of the kids to show them off to her friends. Not because she wants to see them (and of course she doesn't have her own because she doesn't see them!) but because she wants to show off. Her daughter recently had a baby and since the pregnancy announcement our entire family doesn't exist to her anymore. Some of y'all know my MIL HATES me. So many things have happened since she was evil to my SIL. Today Dh reached out to talk to her about all their problems and you guys, through this conversation she earned her loony badge.</p> <p>She's not involved with the kids but wants to be known as the amazing grandmom she sees herself as. DH said he would like her to be involved and actually ask about them. She said she is involved, every day. All their blessings are from her. :shocked: </p> <p>Talk about a nut case and a half!!!! Any of your in laws in this club?! Should we get them all together!? :silly: </p>
