Are you nap training too? We are and nap training is so much rougher than night training. Yesterday, we got 4 naps but the last nap was painful, 1 hour of crying and then a 40 minute nap. He went down fine for his first nap which was 1 hour. He also had 2 small catnaps on car rides, each of about 30 minutes. He had not been napping at all at daycare, so almost 3 hours of naps yesterday feels like somewhat of a win.

So exciting, isn't it? It takes babies 3 days to developmentally learn an new routine. Congrats!

Also, she's only nursed to sleep for one nap since Friday night. The past two nights I nurse her until she's drowsy and then l lay her down.

@littlek: I would even take that. I told DH that we had five wake ups Friday night with her only crying for four of them so last night I would consider four an improvement (or even five but only crying for three).

I was shocked. She seems to have no interest right now in having any wake ups besides to see if I'm there. Last night, she seemed to check the room while crying when we first laid her down and once she established that neither of us were in there, she passed out. At the 6:22 wake up, she looked and cried to see if I was there and fell asleep.

I think if it continues on this path, that we'll start nap training on Tuesday or Wednesday to make sure this is established.

That's awesome!

We had one wake up at 3:30 am. I fed B and put him back in crib and he slept till 7:15 am.

So last night was night 3 of CIO. I thought we'd have a little progress but I didn't expect what happened. She took a late nap due to failed nap training and I put her in bed at 8:40 last night. She cried from 8:44-8:56 and then 9:04-9:06. I went to bed around 10:30, expecting her to wake up soon.

She didn't wake up until 6:22. And fell back asleep at 6:26 after four minutes of crying. She slept until 7:45.

Last Wednesday night I was waking up every 1-1.5 hours from about 8pm-7am. I was so worried about doing CIO and was worried it wouldn't work for LO but I am amazed. She went from 6-7 wake ups that I had to get up for to 11 hours with one wake up during which she put herself back to sleep.
