Still in the same chair we took her monthly pics in but now with a white tee and jeans (or whatever bottoms she picks out!). Just keep it neutral to show the change in her. Though I think next year at 5, I'll just take it with her against one of the walls of our house. It's nothing fancy, but I like to document the milestone. I'm not a great photographer, I only use my phone and I'm just terrible at remembering to take pics. So--that's why I make an effort for the prof pics.</p> <p>DD was born in Feb and things are ugly here then as well. I think we're going to do a family shoot this August and then do DD pictures every August thereafter. We do one family session a year, typically late oct for Christmas cards. BUT, we do love at least 1 session each year. DS was just born this past November so we'll probably keep the fall photoshoot in the future and I'll just schedule it sometime in between their birthdays. I guess we were lucky about the timing of birthdays because Fall is a pretty time here in New England and it's perfect timing for holiday cards anyway. I think we won't be doing yearly birthday photos anymore- mostly because the weather is awful here in march and everything is pretty dead. I plan on doing photos in the fall for Christmas cards and any other fun opportunities for informal family photos.</p> <p>If you did yearly birthday photos- what age did you stop at? How often do you have family photos done? I plan on utilizing mini sessions more in the future. </p>
