I took her to the dr. on Thursday b/c I knew the rash just didn't look right - it looked like irritated white heads. We now have a Nystatin cream I've been putting on 4x a day and it's almost all cleared up. I'd imagine if you made some &amp; put it in a small container your daycare could just use it &amp; be none the wiser of what was in it.</p> <p>For yeast it can easily take a week for it to clear AND you need to continue treating it for 5 days! to avoid re-infection. </p> <p>You can also put some lotrimin on your nipples a couple times a day as a preventative measure &amp; just wipe it off before feedings. Lot of air time for your nipples too, especially if you leak ever. Pedi said to layer antifungal .5 or 1% cortisone cream then a zinc oxide diaper cream three times a day. I am taking probiotics for myself but didn't even think about giving them to L. Now he has what I think is a yeast diaper rash. </p> <p>I started him on probiotics, am prepping paper towels w/ soapy water for wipes instead, and bought clomitrizole (sp?) cream to use instead of diaper rash cream. I am planning on having him nap bottomless on towels today, and am calling the dr tomorrow since its his first one and I don't know if daycare would use that lotion on him wo a prescription. </p> <p>I am terrified of an oral thrush infection...can I do anything else in the meantime? I don't see any white patches in his mouth and I don't have any pain while/after nursing. </p> <p>Thanks! </p>
