@Mrsk: I agree with @erinpye: I've been taking acidophilus for almost a year now and things have been much better in the YI department!

@erinpye: thanks for the advice! I'll hit to grocery store on the way home from work for some plain yogurt!

Thanks everyone else for sharing, I feel a bit more at ease that chances aren't blown for this cycle, fingers crossed!

Yep. I had one right after O my last cycle- currently 31 weeks preg.

ETA: I treated it with the external stuff for the itch, and took acidophilus, and ate plain yogurt every day until it was gone to treat it internally. I didn't use the internal cream because I didn't want to blow any BFP chances

I had a couple YIs while pregnant, too, and they're harmless to the baby but obviously uncomfortable. I had to use 7-day treatments, too, and was told the shorter ones aren't effective during pregnancy -- I guess the yeast might be harder to kill or something? Not really sure, but it seems to be the standard recommendation.

I generally get one about 7/8 dpo since coming off bcp. It clears up as quickly as it comes on with no treatment but I think it's just hormonal. Unfortunately not linked to a bfp for me!

I've had chronic yeast infections since coming off bcp. I'm sure it is related to the hormones. If you feel that you have had 2 in the course of a few weeks, I would touch base with your doctor. Also, like swedishfish said, there are restrictions on what treatments you can use during pregnancy.

@Mrsk: maybe the medication is too concentrated? My OBGYN told me to use the seven day stuff.

I had a yeast infection during my TWW! Unfortunately I've also had a second one during pregnancy and I'm only 20 weeks in. I'm extremely prone to them though and many times I would get one between ovulation and the start of my period (or pregnancy) due to the hormones.

@swedishfish: thanks for the advice on the 7 day stuff. Is there a specific reason why? Just curious...

I didn't have a yeast infection during my TWW but I had a few yeast infections while pregnant. Make sure you don't use the one day stuff if there's a chance you might be pregnant. I always used the seven day medication. Good luck!

I had what I think was a yeast infection (felt exactly the same as all other ones I have had) on CD4-8 ish, I took over the counter stuff and it didn't really seem to clear up until like 4 days later....and now, I'm at 8dpo it is back, I think. I just started my first round of Clomid 50mg, unmonitored, this cycle and am wondering if this could have anything to do with it... We timed bd well.

So I'm just wondering....do I still have a shot this cycle? Has anyone gotten a BFP on a cycle when they also had a yeast infection? Give me some hope! I'd really love a BFP for Christmas!
