Now, I've been using it for 3 years now, and I can't live without it. I watched some videos on YouTube to just get the hang of it first. </p> <p>I'm using the Classic YNAB, and not the web based one, so not sure if it's the same. I would just input all of your accounts (checking, savings, etc), and only input current or upcoming bills. Do not input any past bills! For example, today is 8/9/17, and you may feel like inputting your rent/mortgage since it was due on 8/1, but if you already paid it and you're starting YNAB today, do not input that rent/mortgage. Cuz YNAB is only using the current money you have right now. Input the starting balances on all your accounts on the left hand bar. Your credit cards will automatically pop up as categories in YNAB under the master category "Credit Card Payments". This will always be there as long as you continue to use credit cards.<br /> 2. Fill in the "Budget" column in your cc categories. It needs to match the starting balance you have on each of your accounts. You only need to fill in the "Budget" column the very first month you use YNAB.
