She lived/lives for her kids. She let us get away with a lot.... like she didn't care if things got broken or dirty because well, they were just things and she just wanted us to be happy, and if playing with something like glitter in the living room made us happy, then so be it. </p> <p>I try to be like her. I worked hard to start my career by going to grad school and working my tush off... but then I met DH and decided a family was more important to me so I put that on hold to stay home with my LO and focus on her. Still I don't think I'm as selfless as my mom. I am laid back like her though. She’s always gone out of her way to help us with things that we need. I hope that I can parent like her!</p> <p>Personality wise she is very dramatic, overly sensitive and prone to exaggeration…. She's ultra loving. self-sacrificing and puts her family #1, even above her husband. I'm not as sacrificing when it comes to my family. I believe more in balance. She's very much into tough love. Strict.</p> <p>Our parenting styles are similar - I mostly model my style after hers.
