@PrincessBaby: I have never actually used this mat, but I remember seeing it on Bethenny's show and I always wanted it! (I am a little obsessed with her.) I love that it folds in squares instead of rolling up!

All yoga mats should be non-slip if treated properly. Many come out of the factory with a coating on them that makes them slippery when wet. To prevent this, give them a really good scrub before first use with some vinegar and water and be sure to clean between uses, preferably with water and tea tree oil to keep bacteria at bay.

I'm addicted to my yoga toes no slip towel so its easy to use with cheap mats. I dont think you'll find a true no slip mat for cheap, but for a decent cheapie i like gaiam yoga mars which you can get at target. Just use a regular towel under your hands maybe until you get your LL back. I also think using the rentals are pretty gross. :)

For the longest time, i had no idea those were towels specifically for not slipping. Even though i practice hot yoga, i never had a problem with slipping, even though my mat is pretty thin!

Since it's just for a month, i'd probably check out TJ Maxx/Marshalls as well.

Have you heard of Jade yoga mats? It's a bit cheaper than LL but a little more expensive than your average mat.

I have an awesome LuluLemon yoga mat but it got packed up during our move and is in storage (w/the moving co) until our new house is finished in Aug. i have been using the mats at the yoga studio but I would like to maybe get my own bc I'm kind of grossed out by using the ones supplied. I dont want to fork out the dough for another LL when it's just for a month or so...

Anyone have any suggestions for an affordable but nice one? Preferably no-slip bc I do hot yoga too. I hate messing w/those stupid no-slip towels on a mat- I'm kind of spoiled that my LL was totally no-slip, no towel needed.
