They can sleep in the infant seat, so I wouldn't worry about bedtime, and they're not running around anywhere. Plus my LO was a super easy kid, and wasn't the least bit disruptive when we took him out (he'd either sleep or just watch stuff around him), so we weren't infringing on other people's ability to enjoy the atmosphere.<br /> Now I couldn't do that- he has a bedtime, can't just sleep anywhere, and is too active. Plus, it's not just a drinking place, they serve food as well. I felt really awkward, but it's a family restaurant that turns into a bar after 9pm. There were plenty of other kids there, so that made me feel a little better. I don't judge so I didn't blink when they were seated next to us, but a sports bar is where I go with my friends to drink and yell explatives at the screen, so I just assumed they were okay with their son being in that atmosphere (some parents are!). I was a little taken aback when they asked us to tone it down for their sons sake. We weren't even that bad! But I mean do we now have to make every venue child friendly? So now we can't even go to a bar and unwind with friends? Second how do you feel about babies in bars or in that type of setting? We've left LO twice since she was born, the first time was to go to a birthday party and second was to go to my brothers engagement party. Both of these parties were beer drinking, loud music and dancing kind of parties and it really bothered me that all I heard was, "where's the baby?" or "why isn't the baby with you?" I wanted to say well because.. SHES A BABY! She doesn't do well in big crowds, she would hate the loud music and this is a bar setting she doesn't belong here! Has anyone else been through this before? I'm thinking it's happening to me because I'm from a small little rural town, where some people don't think twice about letting their little one hang out or run around at these parties. </p>
