SD has medical issues. One of them being Fibrous dysplasia of bone. If she even bumps her head especially she it OUT for the day. Even a small bump. Ugh it breaks my heart and is just not fair. Anywho...if I see her fall or like I said bump her head, which we all know kids do OFTEN, its scary. She is prone to major bone breaks easilly and my heart skips a beat anytime I see her fall or anything. She already needs a surgery on her skull for this...I remember one time she bumped her head and I instantly teared up because I just hurt so bad for her. It brought much pain to her for the rest of the day. I picked her up knowing the pain was only going to get worse and we sat on the couch and I held her comforting her. Got all snuggly under a blanket and spent the day holding her and watching Disney movies.

Charlie was in pain for over a day... but I was able to cure his arm pain (aka nursemaid's elbow), using a technique our doctor showed us:

http://www.hellobee.com/2011/12/02/nursemaids-elbow/

Afterward, I was surprised at how great it made me feel. You just want the best for your kids... and when they are in pain, I think parents sometimes feel that pain even worse. When you can take that pain out of their lives, it is such a great feeling!

I've done that before for Charlie in small ways, but this was the most amount of pain I've taken from him... I was so happy for him, and for making his life just a little bit better.

You know that feeling of accomplishment you get when you make your LO feel better? Tell us about it... i.e. a time you took pain out of your LO's life!
