Haha, yes. I usually panic if there is no bread on the table and get VERY upset if my food isn't cooked the way that I wanted. I'm not usually picky but during pregnancy I pout if something comes out wrong!

I've been really even keel. Seriously, no freak outs since the morning of the day we found out I was pregnant (I thought I was going insane!)
But then today I typed up the story of how my husband and I met for a blog entry for a contest. I just tried to read it to my husband and dissolved into a mass of blubbering, sentimental tears... all for the sake of trying to win a Kindle.... Oh my!

now I want a grilled cheese.

And by the way, apparently I've been extra critical about lots of things since being pregnant. I'm trying to cut-back.

My husband and I were on a flight across the country when I was 14 weeks. We made sure to have a big breakfast beforehand, but 20 minutes later when we got on the plane hunger came over me once again!

All they had besides the nasty peanuts and pretzels was a deli sandwich which is a no-no during pregnancy. I decided to order it anyways bc I was just that hungry. When we got the sandwich, we discovered that mayonnaise was on the sandwich.

That's when I lost it. Not only is it a no-no during pregnancy, I can't stand the stuff. I started bawling my eyes out like a big baby. My husband comforted me through it. He was so patient with me. We look back at it now and laugh. It was ridiculous! We made sure to bring plenty of food for the way back to avoid another meltdown.

@mediagirl: i was just so dissappointed about my sandwich i had a total break down. It was pretty funny and at points i would laugh at my self because i was crying about a sandwich. Then i would remember how dissappointed i was and cry some more lol. That is so sweet that your hubby went out and got you your begal!

@artbee: I so would have done the same thing.

My birthday is on New Years, so most places are closed- we finally found a place open on our 4th try, so we were hungry and cranky by that time (and 38 weeks pregnant). My husband likes the place we were at ok, but wanted another place- the hostess told us it would be a 30-40 minute wait for a table, so my husband wanted to go to the other place but left the decision up to me. During pregnancy I was completely unable to make decisions, and for no reason I burst into tears about it.

I kept leaking tears until 10 minutes later while sitting on the bench outside a bird poops on my husband's head... then the tears switched to tears of laughter.

I didn't have any pregnant food break downs... my husband was awesome at making sure I got everything I craved. I think he was scared of the crazy pregnant lady that would come out if that didn't happen.

I did have a mini freakout after I gave birth, we went to a restaurant and I ordered a sandwich with brie in it. Well I got the sandwich and I swore there was no brie in there, I was so upset because I love it and I stayed away from it my whole pregnancy. So I made the lady bring me a big thing of brie to put in my sandwich... and then my husband looked and saw that it did already have some in there. But it was a tiny bit that I couldn't even taste, so I was glad to be a pain in the tush and get more brie.

One night when I was pregnant, we ordered takeout but didn't check what the restaurant put in the bag. I had ordered a salad, and when we got home, I discovered they put the wrong salad in the bag. It was barely any different than the one I ordered, but I started sobbing anyway. So ridiculous, but I couldn't control it. Glad I'm not the only one!

Brings back such embarrassing memories! When I was pregnant with my first, I cried at Noah's Bagel because they sliced my bagel in half and I really wanted it whole. The tears and emotions seriously came out of nowhere.

I'm sorry girl - but I'm sure there are a lot of us who have been there. Here's my emotional food story.

We went out to a great pizza place at lunch w/ my work for my birthday. This place had the nice, greasy crust that I LOVE. I saved 1/2 of my pizza so that I could enjoy it as my snack later and I was really looking forward to it. Well, on the way back into the office, my husband accidentally knocked it out of my hands and it landed, cheese side down, on the sidewalk. I was so upset, I cried. I mean, I REALLY wanted to eat that pizza later and it was completely destroyed. So, yeah, I cried.

Aww that happened to me too a lot. Worst part was, everything I craved made me sick, so I 'd get all pissy about getting something specific, and then I'd eat two bites and give up.
Luckily my husband (who claims to have less than no patience) is patient with me--at least when pregnant.

Haha! I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at your horrible sandwich, I'm laughing at the emotions that came over you! It happens, don't worry about it. I'd be pissed about a bad grilled cheese that took forever, too! And pregnancy hormones - bring on the sobs!

I wanted an egg sandwich for dinner one night. I opened the fridge, asked my husband if he wanted eggs for dinner and he said, "we only have 2 left..." I started crying and said, I wanted an egg and bagel sandwich for dinner!" He said, "we have bagels?" (we didn't). I started sobbing harder. Totally nonsensical. I came over to the couch and flopped on it and started crying/laughing. I couldn't figure out why I was crying, so I started laughing at myself. I couldn't stop crying, so my husband got up and went to Dunkin' Donuts for me. He got me two bagels with egg, cheese and sausage and they were the greatest thing ever.

I have a wonderful emotional wreck of a story to share. I went out for supper last night and all I wanted was a nice and toasty grilled cheese. Well I ended up waiting about 50 minutes to get my food.

How can you screw this up might you ask?!?! It was fricking soft and soggy and mushy!!! This upset me so much I had to leave. I couldn't even sit there and put a fake smile on my face. So I went home and had a good bawl about my grilled cheese. I didn't even have bread at home to make my own. I was acting like a baby and I know that but I had been holding my temper all day. And all I wanted was a grilled cheese. This past week my MS has been horrid and when I actually crave something I need it, like now.

Have you had any wonderfully embarrassing emotional breakdowns about something really silly?
