Although I am not against fire arms, I would be concerned as to how they are stored. It was eye opening how many kids were able to access their parents guns. It is it a child responsibility to avoid guns, it is the parents responsibility to have them locked away.</p> <p>We live in an area with pretty high gun ownership and it made me realize that if LO was to have a play date at a friends house when he is older I will have to think about his access to guns in other homes. It has made me consider gentle ways to ask 'how do you store your guns?' While I think it is good information and eye opening. I don't like to judge any parenting, but the mom who had the loaded gun on the table floored me. You can't trust a 4-8 year old child not to be curious...it's asking for issues. I would not allow my child over at that house. And I'm pro-fire arms.
