same here. I haven't even had a chance to read it yet, because one of the cats decided to throw up on it and there was no cleaning it after that happened :P.

I was a little disappointed with the quality/feel of the book when mine finally arrived too :( Fair play to J&S for trying to keep the price down; and it was a STEAL on Amazon UK when I ordered it (£10!) but I was a little sad when it didn't match the feel of my copy of Design Sponge @ Home...

Mine is like that too. There were complaints on Amazon, so I think a lot of people felt that way. My understanding is that John and Sherry wanted to keep the book under a certain price point, so that's why the cheapo cover. I'm a little surprised they didn't just go with a flexible glossy cover rather than the matte hardcover.

I finally received my copy of YHL from Amazon UK - it's been on back-order forever! The first thing I noticed is it's printed really poorly! The cover is made of really thin (almost flexible) cardboard that's covered in a matte paper. It's not protected by a glossy finish. It's already warping even though it was shipped in a fitted cardboard sleeve. What gives?

Is everyone else's YHL book this poorly printed or is Amazon UK trying to cut corners in some way?
