People were having babies before prenatals, and I'm sure you'll get more. I missed a few days when I was pregnant and my baby girl is completely healthy and happy and normal! Plus there are people who can't afford them and probably have healthy babies and people who didn't even know they were pregnant. It's going to be ok! And as for the diet coke..I have a serious problem and cut them out personally (not very good at drinking them in moderation lol) but I had aspartame, and it's sometimes hard to avoid. And like I said, I have a healthy baby! Mom guilt is terrible and people who like to bring it on should think before they say such things! I made the mistake of getting into a bit of a back and forth with her, citing someone I know who is very healthy and natural, never touching anything artificial, and her son has ADHD (something people also link to aspartame). Then she questioned the existence of ADHD! It's clear she has strong opinions and I don't need to worry about engaging her.</p> <p>The thing is, I really did have good intentions to avoid anything "unnatural" during my pregnancy because of course I want this baby to be healthy! But it is so hard to be perfect, and of course there are no guarantees. I will drive myself crazy trying to provide a pristine environment for my child! But the fact that I already DO feel guilty about it just made it so much worse.
