Maybe the 4 month sleep regression? At that time we were up every 40/45 minutes like clockwork all night :-/

4 months we went from having a good sleeper who put herself down with a paci to a terrible sleeper during the regression. We're now back to terrible sleep in the 9 month regression.

Hell. It started at 3 months and still sucks at almost 5. We do hourly-2 hour wakeups. It's awful. We're going to sleep train in a few weeks I think.

four months was the worst sleep time for my LO. We took away her paci soon after because she would scream every time it fell out of her mouth. (then gave it back when she could put it in herself). Around 6 - 7 months sleep trained. Good luck mama !!!

With my son, sleep was just always miserable. My daughter is just a week younger than yours and her sleep has been going downhill since three months. I do put her down to sleep when she is already asleep, but she can fall asleep on her own. Currently, she's waking between 3-4 times per night to eat and goes right back to sleep.

It wasn't as bad as what you're going through but still wasn't fun. From 2-4 months, she STTN and then that stopped instantly. She would wake every 2-3 hours to be nursed, every night, until she was 12 months old. By the time the 2am wake-up happened, I let her co-sleep and nursed until we had to wake up for the day.

Things went downhill for us at four months. Still sucking at six. We are just doing WIO for now but keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't take forever. It has to get better eventually....right?

Up until 4 months I always put her down after nursing to sleep, and she slept 8-10 hours. She was only getting up once, occasionally twice a night. Then right at 4 months she went through a couple weeks of getting up 3-5 tunes a night. At that point I decided to start putting her down awake cause it was already pretty crappy sleep. Sounds like you're already doing that. She gradually got better overnight and at 7 months she is now STTN 12-13 hours. Month 4 was definitely the worst for us, but looking back I can't really complain, I know many others have had it way worse.

Eh? We were co-bedding because it was the only way he'd sleep at all. I was able to get some sleep, but he was still waking up to nurse every hour or two, but because he was right next to me I barely woke up. Naps were still really bad--he would only ever nap in my arms.

I think it's just luck of the draw! Some babies sleep easily, others don't. Even if you do everything "right." DS' sleep was actually good at that age. He started STTN at around 4 months, and we rocked him to sleep. He started not STTN around 7 months. Those babies keep you guessing!

Terrrrrrible. She was sick for the entire fourth month, and now she's almost six months old and woke up 4 times last night. Prior to the regression, we were getting 2 wake-ups max.

However, a few weeks ago, she was up every 1-2 hours and I was a zombie. It's getting better in slow, agonizing increments.

Bottle to sleep and usually 10 hours of overnight sleep with 1 wakeup. 30 minute naps (like 5 of them....). Started letting him fuss a little more at bedtime so he learned to fall asleep around 4 months and took him out of swaddle and rock n play.

Sounds like you are doing everything right....

...What was it like?

My LO is four-months old and we have never put her down asleep, or even drowsy. Since day one she's been able to put herself down if she has a pacifier. We wanted to make sure we didn't make the same mistakes we did with DD#1 (rocking and nursing to sleep, transferring to bed while asleep).

That being said, she still wakes every two hours at night, sometimes even more often. Last night she woke up 8 times over a 13-hour period.

What am I doing wrong? All of you who have young infants STTN: tell me your ways!!!!!!
