Definitely have a side of pickled things to balance the richness, like cornichons, pickled onions, giardinera, etc.</p> <p>2. I think blanched cauliflower or broccoli or brussel sprouts would be good.</p> <p>3. Smoked gouda in fondue is TO DIE FOR.</p> <p>4. Frozen Sara Lee poundcake is the best/firmest chocolate fondue dipper - like literally in its frozen form. It doesn't crumble into the pot.
